Transplantation of stromal vascular fraction (SVF) cells from wild-type adipose tissue into diabetic Akita mice increased Foxp3 expression in the liver. Adipose tissue-derived SVF cells were harvested from the adipose tissue of wild-type mice and then transplanted with a cell number of 5 × 106 or 1 × 107 into the peritoneal cavity of Akita mice. Subsequently, liver tissue was harvested and Foxp3 expression level was elevated at 7 days after cell injection by (a) qPCR and analyzed with western blotting (b) using antibodies against Foxp3, p-ERK, ERK, p-JNK, JNK and β-actin.
